The Daughters of Miriam Foundation is the charitable arm of Daughters of Miriam Center/The Gallen Institute.  Governed by a separate board and officers, the Foundation funds capital improvement projects and provides capital support to fund-raisers.  All proceeds from fund-raisers are applied to the Foundation unless otherwise stipulated.

Bequest Opportunity

Garfinkle Chapel
One of the most inspirational areas of Daughters of Miriam Center is the synagogue.  Since 1955, this sanctuary has provided for the spiritual needs of the residents and tenants, their families and friends.  Daily minyans, Sabbath services and holiday celebrations are held in a space that is both beautiful and functional.  Stained glass fills the chapel with light and color, while ramps allow wheelchair access to a bimah specially designed so readers can either stand or sit.  A donor wall honors those who contribute to this important part of spiritual life at the Center.
