Daughters of Miriam Center (DMC) is located in the suburban town of Clifton, New Jersey, easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway. DMC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit facility. We are dedicated to the provision of nursing, medical, dietary and domiciliary facilities and/or services for the aged and infirm people/families and for handicapped persons.

Our Esther and Sam Schwartz Building (Miriam Apartments) has 150 units, each of which includes one-bedroom, a living room, kitchenette and full bath. Twenty eight apartments have been specially adapted to make them accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Tenants enjoy the independence of their own home while benefiting from the companionship of community living. Tenants receive congregate services such as nursing services as well as a variety of recreational and cultural activities. A kosher dinner is served.

The apartments were constructed with assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Under an agreement with HUD, these apartments serve persons age 62 and over and/or persons with mobility impairments. Federal rent subsidies are available for qualified low-income persons.
